Burnley director Brendan Flood is confident manager Owen Coyle will resist interest from Celtic.

"Why would you turn down being in the biggest league in football?" said Flood, as Burnley moved to end all speculation linking Coyle with Celtic.

"He wants to prove himself in the Premier League, and he can be a top six manager I think.

"I think he feels like he has been given a chance at Burnley, and now that we've got to the Premier League he thinks he's got to stick with us."
