Burnley boss Sean Dyche delighted with progress of Dan Agyei

Burnley boss Sean Dyche is delighted with the progress of Dan Agyei.

He spent the first half of the campaign on loan at League One strugglers Coventry City and Dyche said he may have gone out again but the fact the new loan now precluded clubs from recalling players, and that has accelerated his involvement with the first team.

"I was pleased with him going out on loan, he did well at an awkward time for a club," said the Clarets chief.

"I would have loved to have got him out again with the proviso of a 24 hour recall but now you can't do that.

"We've kept him in house because we thought it was right to do so. It's always been our plan to get him involved and get him working with the first team every day."
