Burnley boss Dyche pleased with Marney recovery

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has expressed his delight at Dean Marney's progress in regards to his recovery from a knee injury.

Marney suffered a serious cruciate knee ligament injury against Arsenal in January last season and the blow meant that the 33-year-old was ruled out for the entire second half of the campaign.

The veteran midfielder still has a long way to go before he can make a return to the pitch once again butDyche has expressed his happiness at seeing the club's second longest serving player making good progress in his road to recovery.

Dyche said: "He's done some good work and he's going really, really well. I think he's only five months in and he's on the grass and he's moving well.

"There's still a long way to go, he knows that, he's been through it before, but we're delighted he's going so well."
