Burnley manager Sean Dyche believes that Peter Crouch will determine his own future.
The former England striker had a short term loan at the Premier League club this season. It is possible the 38-year-old could retire from football after 20+ years in the game.
And Dyche believes it is a decision the player will make on his own.
"I chatted with him the other day and it is not just my decision," Dyche said to reporters after their last game of the season.
"It is his as well with his age and his intention. Does he want to carry on?
"I have never been bothered by age it has always been have you got that edge to your game?
"I think he showed that he is hungry.
"He has been very unfortunate with his injury but I think he has shown that edge to his game. I spoke to him and said 'you think about yourself and don't think about me and Burnley'.
"He needs to have a think about himself first which he will do.
"He has been superb for us and great around the group as well."
