Dyche has been patient with summer signing Cornet, with the defender making only making his first start in the midweek Carabao Cup win over Rochdale.
However, the Clarets boss is pleased with how the Ivory Coast full-back is adapting to life in the Premier League since his move from Lyon.
"He's had a good start and has handled things very well. He seems to be enjoying the group and the training and he has a nice smile about him," said Dyche.
"I think when players hit the ground running and the fans feeling towards them can build quickly. I think it's advantageous when the fans like a player early, it can give them that freedom. That early connection can help settle him on and of the pitch."
Cornet was one of five new faces over the summer and Dyche believes the team is already benefiting from that greater squad depth.
"For many seasons we needed to layer up the squad - we had many changes the other night and it still felt like a proper team," he added.
