Burnley boss Coyle has no sympathy for clubs living beyond their means

Burnley boss Owen Coyle says Premiership clubs' struggling with their finances should take a leaf out of their books.

Coyle is running his club on the tightest financial regime ever and he has little time for those who lived beyond their means and are now counting the cost.

The Clarets chief rapped: "We are not paying 40, 50 or £60,000-a-week for players who might put is in that position. We are trying to make a budget with what we have got."

Coyle's top earners are in the £12,000-a-week class and the size of their spending was confirmed again when they finished bottom of the league for agents payments - with the figure around £450,000.
