Burnley boss Owen Coyle admits he was tempted by the Celtic job earlier this summer.

"I'm not going to pretend I didn't think about it," he said in the Daily Record. "I'm a Celtic fan.

"It's where I am from, a big part of who I am and, of course, there's the chance of Champions League football.

"But then I looked at what we had built at Burnley, I thought of players I'd persuaded to be a part of this and, in the end, I knew I had to stay and carry on this incredible adventure."
