Burnley academy manager Pepper praises Defour commitment

Burnley's academy manager has praised the commitment of Steven Defour.

Jon Pepper has spoken about how much Defour loves the game after the player spent the last two games with the under-23 side.

Defour is just working his way back to full fitness after coming back from an injury layoff.

The 30-year-old has played in the Champions League, but Pepper was delighted at the commitment he showed during the recent under-23 games.

"It's good for us to have that experience and that level of class within the team," Pepper said to the Lancashire Telegraph.

"He makes the game look so simple and he's got a lot of energy, it would nice to have someone like that every week.

"His attitude has been no different to what I assume it is when he's in the first team playing a Premier League game, he comes in, he wants to apply himself well, he's got a good attitude, good application and he seems to love the game."
