Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon paid tribute to Alessandro del Piero after last night's A-League Allstars clash. Del Piero said goodbye to Sydney FC and the A-League in today's exhibition match, which was won 3-2 by the Bianconeri.
"Del Piero will always be the symbol of Juventus," Buffon told reporters in Australia.
"Alex has had a unique and extraordinary career. I think he will always be representative of the Bianconeri.
"It was a good game and it's always wonderful to see so many fans come to see us in Australia.
"Although we had to suffer for it, we were able to win in the end."
