Parma goalkeeper Gigi Buffon is convinced Angel di Maria will be a star with Juventus.

As he comes off contract at PSG, Di Maria is in talks with the Bianconeri.

Buffon told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "Di María in the Italian league would be like Maradona, do I explain myself?

"Today Serie A is impoverished at a technical level and Ángel has quality to spare. He beats the rival with impressive ease, he is decisive in front of goal, he is good at giving assists, runs all over the pitch and can fulfill multiple roles.

"In a nutshell: he is a football player.

"Is Di María already 34 years old? I'm 44 and I'm still playing, age doesn't matter. The motivations, the passion you put into your work, your determination are much more important. If Di María decides to make the decision to go to Juve, it means he's ready to do it."
