Buendia gets Aston Villa fans excited with superb display in Walsall victory

Emiliano Buendia starred in his first appearance for Aston Villa against Walsall.

The Villains claimed a 4-0 on Wednesday night, thanks largely to Buendia.

The Argentine, signed from Norwich for £33m this summer, provided two first-half assists for Ollie Watkins.

A pair of youngsters Jaden Philogene-Bidace and Aaron Ramsey, brother of Jacob, scored two more goals in the second-half.

Villa boss Dean Smith was forced to self-isolate and missed the game.

Posting on their Twitter account, Villa said: "Aston Villa can confirm that Head Coach Dean Smith will not be present at tonight's friendly with Walsall as he is currently isolating with his family.

"Craig Shakespeare will take charge of the team this evening."
