Northern Ireland winger Chris Brunt is glad to be having a break from top-flight action with West Brom locked at the foot of the table, seven points behind 17th-placed Blackburn with only eight games remaining.
However, he insists they can prove the critics wrong and retain their league status.
He said: "People have written us off and hopefully that can work for us rather than against us.
"Obviously we are in a difficult situation but a couple of wins and you are right back in the thick of things. That's what we need.
"The Premier League is a new experience for me and I want to remain there, like everyone else. Overall I have enjoyed the season and I like to think I have become a better player."
