Manchester United and Tottenham have both held positive talks with the agent of Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes over the weekend.
Correio da Manha says United have offered a contract to o Fernandes, who is willing to snub Tottenham in favour of a move to Old Trafford.
The player's representative, Miguel Pinho, has returned from meeting the Premier League clubs.
It is said that both have made identical offers to Fernandes in a bid to try and get him to sign.
And the Sporting star would prefer to join United, having been attracted to the 'history and mystique' of the club.
United and Tottenham have both been told it will take £62million to lure Fernandes away from his country.
