The agent of Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes has returned to England for more Manchester United talks.
He was flying to England on Wednesday night to thrash out a transfer with United.
Miguel Pinho, who represents the star, has allegedly made a telephone agreement with United on a contract worth £100,000 a week, reports Gazzetta dello Sport's Nicolo Schira.
Sporting were hoping to spark a bidding war between Premier League clubs for Fernandes' signature after hiking up their asking price.
However, the plan backfired and their huge demand for Fernandes has driven away both Liverpool and Tottenham.
United are aware of this and will continue to play hardball by refusing to pay over-the-odds for the ex-Sampdoria man.
