Brugge's Ryan has Premier League dream

Club Brugge goalkeeper Mat Ryan has revealed he has a dream to play in the English Premier League.

The 23-year old Australian goalkeeper left the A-League for the Belgian Pro League in May 2013 and he now has his sights set on one of the bigger European competitions.

"I'm young and have already accomplished a few things in my career and the ambition to better myself is pretty strong," he told SBS.

"I'd love the chance to play in England, Spain, Italy or Germany, though the Premier League would be my first choice.

"It's the most watched and followed league in the world and growing up it was the place I've always dreamed about playing.

"If I got the opportunity it would be very hard to turn it down.

"I am in no rush but at the same time I am up for any challenge that might come along."
