Brugge boss Preud'homme: Football is simple but we failed against Leicester

Club Brugge boss Michel Preud'homme has conceded that his players failed to perform in their 3-0 Champions League defeat to Leicester City on Wednesday night.

The Belgian side were making their first appearance in the continental tournament since 2006 but never get going against the European debutants in front of their home fans at Jan Breydel Stadium..

Preud'homme said: "Football is simple, to win a game you have to score goals and not concede too much.

"We failed in the two because after two minutes we could have scored and the game was totally different. On the other side we give three goals away.

"The possibilities they created weren't too many in the game. We have to perform better defensively and offensively if we want to win that kind of game."

Marc Albrighton scored an early goal before a Riyad Mahrez brace either side of the break condemned Brugge to defeat in their Group G opener.
