Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce is doubling down on giving his players time off.
The Magpies are in crisis at present, as they are in 17th position in the Premier League and only two points away from being in the relegation zone.
And according to the Daily Mail, Newcastle players were given several days off recently, and some players were concerned at the impact of lightening the workload as they aim to avoid relegation.
Now the same source reveals Newcastle are getting another six days off from nine during the international break.
The Magpies go into this break off the back of a horrendous defeat to Brighton, which puts them further in the relegation scrap.
One source said, per the Mail: "The players are used to doing their own training by now.
"They are not surprised by the schedule."
