After their thrashing at Liverpool, Phil Brown is putting his Hull City players through the wringer this week on the training pitch.

Brown said: "It'll be a long week and people might ask why hit them when they're down.

"But I need to get it right and the only way we'll do that is on the training ground on a daily basis.

"It's up to us to make sure they're foot- perfect when they cross the white line on Saturday.

"Any reaction I've seen doesn't count for a lot unless it manifests itself in a performance on Saturday."
