Stefano Okaka turned down bigger money to sign for Udinese, says his brother and agent Carlo.
The former Watford striker has signed permanently with the Zebrette.
"Okaka has refused €2.5m-a-year at Besiktas," Carlo told TMW.
"The story had been in place for a week, there was an agreement with the club and economically with Stefano. That was until the 31st, because there were various interests and options on the table then. He took his time until the last.
"He said he wanted to go home and he didn't care about money. It started where he finished and it was okay, there is time for the rest. The evaluation is based on how he felt in Udine, he wanted to continue that positive streak. It is not an economic choice, but of heart."
