Olivier Giroud had mixed emotions after being blocked from leaving Chelsea last month.

It's emerged Giroud was prevented from leaving Chelsea by manager Frank Lampard with offers from Lazio, Tottenham and Inter Milan on the table.

However, while frustrated, Giroud is happy the market is now closed and he is able to focus on his football.

Brother Romain told L'Equipe: "He was disappointed because he had expected to leave.

"But he was also relieved because of the constant uncertainty of the transfer window."
