British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe is reviving plans to buy France's Nice.
Ratcliffe has been linked with a takeover offer for Chelsea, though is now making a second bid for Nice.
Nice-Matin says Ratcliffe sent brother Robert to buy the Ligue 1 side from Chinese businessman Chien Lee after failing with an original offer in February.
Their report adds that Robert arrived at the Cote D'Azur yesterday and went straight to the office of the town's mayor Christian Estrosi.
A source close to the bid is quoted as saying: “This is proof that he is very motivated by the idea of purchasing Le Gym.
“The deal could take the club to a whole new dimension. We might never get the chance again."
Nice-Matin claims a £77million deal was thrashed out earlier this year but owner Lee changed his mind at the last minute after being told the club was worth far more by president Ganaye Gauthier.
Ratcliffe currently owns Swiss outfit Lausanne.
