Bristol Rovers keeper puts club before country

Bristol Rovers stopper Mikkel Andersen is determined to place his club commitments ahead of his Denmark international ambitions. The 20-year-old, who is on loan from Reading, is set to play for Denmark's Under-21 side next Tuesday against Georgia in Aalborg, but only after the Pirates' game against Leeds was postponed.

"I have already talked to the Danish FA about it and told them I'm not going to miss any Bristol Rovers games," Andersen told the Bristol Evening Post.

"I want to do well for the club and if I can help to get them where they ought to be, then I want to be part of it.

"The Danish FA understand and respect that, which I'm very pleased about."
