Bristol City proposal for Maguire turned down by Hull

Hull City have rejected Bristol City's approach for Harry Maguire.

Bristol City are interested in securing the services of Hull's Maguire and it was recently reported that the League One Champions had placed a bid of around £2.5million for the defender.

Bristol Chairman Keith Dawe has now confirmed that his side are interested in signing Maguire but the transfer looks unlikely due to the fact that Hull are not ready to sell the 22-year old.

Dawe said: "We have made an enquiry for Harry Maguire and a proposal was probably discussed. But there has been no formal bid, because Hull are not interested in selling the player at the present time."
