Bristol City make attempt for Chelsea defender Kalas

Bristol City are attempting to sign Tomas Kalas on a permanent basis.

The Chelsea defender spent last season on loan with the Championship club.

He has made it known he wants to leave the Blues for good this summer, having been on loan at six clubs since 2010.

The 26-year-old recently posted on Instagram: "Now it is time to relax and after that back to business and where? Who knows."

Goalsays Bristol City manager Lee Johnston has targeted Kalas as one of seven signings who could help them earn promotion to the Premier League.
