Bristol City defender Flint: We can 'hold our heads high' after Man City loss

Bristol City defender Aden Flint believes his teammates can be happy with their performance despite losing 2-1 to Manchester City in the first-leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final.

The visitors took a surprising lead through Bobby Reid but second-half goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero has handed City a handy lead heading to the second-leg at Ashton Gate.

Speaking after the game, Flint told Sky Sports: "Disappointed to concede but we can hold our heads high. We played well. We've taken probably the best team in the world all the way.

"We are still in the contest and looking forward to the next game.

"Second half, we were penned in a little and they were building pressure that told in the end."
