Bristol City boss Johnson admits injury worry for Chelsea striker Abraham

Bristol City boss Lee Johnson admits injury concerns over on-loan Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.

Abraham, 19, limped out of a 2-1 defeat at Leeds after 37 minutes on Tuesday night and will have a scan in the next 48 hours to see how long he will be out of action for his Championship side who are only three points above the drop zone.

"He has done something to his thigh. It doesn't look too healthy which is a bit of a worry," said Johnson.

"He doesn't quite know his own body, he doesn't know if it is a pull, a tear or cramp. It was disappointing to see him go off. We pray he is not too bad."

Ironically, Johnson had thought of resting Abraham after he scored his 21st goal of the season at Derby on Saturday.

"I thought about him not starting him because we've had a sequence of games but he is nigh on one of the top scorers in the game."
