Brisbane Roar's Theoklitos eagerly anticipating Victory clash

Brisbane Roar goalkeeper Michael Theoklitos is looking forward to Sunday's meeting with his former club Melbourne Victory.

The 29-year old stopper played in two Grand Final wins with the Victory before embarking on an overseas journey where he joined English club Norwich City.

After that failed move, Theoklitos returned to the A-League where he landed in Brisbane, and is thrilled about the fixture which pits him against his old teammates this weekend.

'There's always something special about a game when you return to your old club,' he wrote in his column for the Brisbane Times.

'The first thing I did when the fixtures came out was to see when we were playing Melbourne Victory.

'The game was definitely one that was circled early and it's something I've been looking forward to for a while.

'I left Victory on very good terms but as a player, you're always very keen to perform at your best against players who are very familiar with you.

'Obviously I had great times there and was fortunate enough to have played in two championship winning teams, so I've got a lot of great friends there and great memories I'll cherish for a long time.

'But come Sunday, I'm a Brisbane Roar player and it's my job to help my new club get one over my old one.'
