Brisbane Roar has received a boost with confirmation Suncorp Stadium will be available for the derby clash with Gold Coast United on February 12.

Brisbane has played its past two matches at Skilled Park on the Gold Coast following the devastating floods which hit south-east Queensland earlier in the month.

Club CEO Peter McLennan said he was delighted the team would be able to close out a remarkable season at their home ground.

"Suncorp Stadium is, in our opinion, the best Hyundai A-League venue in the country but more importantly it's our home ground," McLennan said.

"The football department and administrative staff have done a fantastic job overcoming the difficulties surrounding moving to a new venue in such a short timeframe and doing it very successfully.

"To be able to face our derby rivals on our home turf on February 12 is a fitting reward for everyone involved with the club, but especially for our fans in what has been an outstanding season.

"The availability of the venue to us for this match can only be put down to the amazing work of Suncorp Stadium staff and management.

"We are extremely appreciative of their ongoing efforts to restore this great venue to its full glory and I would like to thank stadium General Manager Alan Graham and his team for all their hard work."

The club and venue are encouraging anyone attending the match to pre-purchase tickets to avoid any potential delays on the day and to also take advantage of free public transport for anyone holding a match day ticket.
