Brighton captain Bruno admits that he had a lot to prove to himself on returning to the Premier League.
The Albion captain is now 38 and he was not sure whether he would be able to stay competitive in the league this season.
But he has recovered from a hamstring injury and is now back in contention. And he was impressive against West Ham United on Friday.
Bruno told The Argus: "It was a massive challenge to prove again I can play at this level.
"It's not easy every game to have to prove that.
"But I had to prove it to myself and to everyone as well."
