Maupay says another Albion late show illustrates the strong mentality of the team.
Maupay had seen a first-half goal disallowed by VAR and Pascal Gross missed a penalty but Albion kept going and levelled with three minutes left.
“We never gave up. We'd have loved to win but it's one of those games where we have to take one point. I think it showed the strong mentality of the team," said Maupay.
“We played well in the first half but they came back and showed more intensity, and caused us some problems.
“We missed the penalty and had the goal disallowed and it is hard to control a game for 90 minutes. I thought the keeper dived into me but sometimes VAR and the referee will be on our side, we can't complain – it's football.
“But even when we are 1-0 or 2-0 down we keep pushing and playing our game. There will be times when we're not able to come back but we keep going. We'd have loved to win it for the fans, but I think they saw that we gave everything."
