Brighton striker Jurgen Locadia accepts he must improve his Premier League form to earn a Holland recall.
The former PSV Eindhoven star has missed out on Ronald Koeman's selection for his first Oranje squad.
He told De Telegraaf: "It's a sign that I have to work even harder. The Jürgen of PSV might have said something about it. And last week I did not play at all during a Brighton match. Then the tendency is great to go to the manager. But it does not make any sense.
"I just have to make sure that Mr. Koeman and the trainer at my club (Chris Hughton) can no longer ignore me."
