Brighton striker Aaron Connolly has revealed he's undergone ankle surgery.

Connolly posted a picture and update on Instagram.

Both the Seagulls and the Republic of Ireland, with whom Connolly was set to go away on international duty, are currently out of action due to coronavirus concerns.

Connolly posted: “Buzzing my ankle surgery went well today and I'll be back fit and playing soon.

“On another note, big respect to the staff working around the clock on something far more serious than a football injury. Stay safe everyone."
