Brighton are ready to hand Marc Cucurella a new contract.

The Athletic reports Brighton are in contract talks with Marc Cucurella amid interest from Manchester City.

The Spanish full-back was named the Seagulls' Player of the Season and is on Pep Guardiola's radar.

However an improved offer from Brighton could hamper City's bid to sign him.

Cucurella joined Brighton a year ago from Getafe.
