Brighton's Swedish prospect Peter Gwargis admits he wants to leave on-loan.

Now 20, Gwargis says U23 football wasn't the plan for him this season.

He told Fotbollskanalen: "The plan wasn't for me to be in the U23s, but things happened and now it has come to that. Now we'll see what happens. I want to go on loan and play first-team football, which the club has also been clear that they think so too. I feel that the U23 stage is over.

"I think this has been a tough period for me. Things haven't gone as planned, but we'll see what happens in the future. You just have to fight on and hope for the best."

Off contract in June, Gwargis says talks have begun about a new deal.
