Brighton News: Ryan happy with cleansheet; Goldson ready for Watford

Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan was happy with his cleansheet for their 0-0 draw with Burnley.

Ryan believes it is only a matter of time before the goals start to flow.

He said, "We were causing them troubles in the first half, obviously we got the penalty but unfortunately it was missed, Glenn wasn't able to convert for us but we're in a bit of a difficult period at the minute.

"We haven't had a win in a while but it's important to try and stamp our authority. We wanted to get the three points, and we were pretty positive with our play, but we didn't have the composure to tuck one away.

“I'm happy we've kept a clean sheet, so from that aspect I'm happy. Next week we've got Watford and we go again."

Meanwhile, Connor Goldson is on standby to make his Premier League debut.

Goldson is poised for his Premier League debut for Albion against Watford at the Amex on Saturday in place of banned central defender Shane Duffy.

The defender, 24, will partner Lewis Dunk against Watford following Duffy's late booking for a deliberate handball when he misjudged the bounce inside the Burnley half.
