Newcastle United and Brighton are considering moves for Feyenood stopper Marcos Senesi.

According to Football Insider, the big spending Magpies are shifting their attention to the 24-year-old Argentine after other defensive targets were deemed unattainable.

Manager Eddie Howe is very eager to sign a centre-back before the transfer window closes.

Brighton also admire Senesi, who is best as a left-sided centre-back.

He has 18 months left on his contract with Feyenoord, and may be available for £16.8 million.
