Brighton midfielder Steven Alzate has been scheduled to undergo groin surgery.

Alzate was to have a small operation on a groin problem, according to his father.

The operation is set to sideline the Colombia international from training for three weeks.

Alzate's father Hector told Gol Caracol TV in Colombia: “It's a good time to do it."

Albion players have been given a break from full-time training to be with their families during the coronavirus suspension.
