Brighton boss Graham Potter has defended under fire striker Neal Maupay.
The experienced goal-getter is enduring a very difficult season, as the Seagulls are going through several matches where they are unable to score from many meaningful chances at goal.
The Frenchman spurned great opportunities against Leeds United in a 0-0 draw, and Brighton fans booed the team off at the final whistle.
Potter said about Maupay post-game, per The Argus: "He's good. He knows that on another day he could have scored, but overall his performance level was good.
"He doesn't listen to anything on outside of the football, so he's fine. He wants to help the team, he's looking forward to the game."
Potter added: "I know our players can do more, and that is not a criticism of them, the potential is there for them and I know they can improve.
"It is a process, I am not going to be too critical of them."
