Brighton made a late move for Amiens striker Moussa Konate yesterday.

Le 10 Sport says Brighton kicked off talks with Amiens for Konate at the beginning of the week and pushed to sign him before yesterday's deadline.

West Ham also expressed interest in the forward, but focused on other targets in the final days of the market.

Brighton were prepared to go to €15m for Konate, but Amiens rated him at a higher price and no deal could be done.

The Seagulls may revisit negotiations in January for the forward.
