Brighton keeper Ryan: Less risks leading to clean sheets

Brighton goalkeeper Mathew Ryan believes they are taking less risks in their game.

The Albion have improved defensively recently as they attempt to avoid dropping into the relegation battle.

They managed their first in eight games against Wolves in a 0-0 draw, and are now only two points above safety at present.

Ryan told reporters: "We make changes every week. We tweak the game plan with whomever we are coming up against in mind.

"There are times where he (Graham Potter) has wanted us to be more expansive at the back and try to play a lot more because he felt it would give us the best chance to win the game.

"At times he has also told us to be more solid and try to take less risks at the back, so it is about finding that balance.

"That is the challenge each week to implement the game plan that is going to give you the best chance to win the game. That is his motive behind the tactics.

"Everyone is trying to do their best for the club to reach their goals."
