Middlesbrough starlet Marcus Tavernier is attracting major Premier League interest.

The Daily Mail says Brighton have made enquiries about Tavernier.

The Premier League side, who will resume their season next month against Arsenal, have followed the England U20 international for over a year and are ready to firm up their interest with an offer once the transfer window opens.

Watford, Crystal Palace and Burnley have also discussed the 21-year old who has made 32 appearances for Jonathan Woodgate's side this season and scored twice.
