Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan: Point feels like a win

Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan was delighted with his clean sheet for their 0-0 draw at Wolves.

Diogo Jota twice hit the woodwork and Leander Dendoncker was denied by Ryan as they secured a vital point.

He said, “The point means a lot in the context of things, it almost feels like we've won the game.

“With our superior goal difference, it could prove to be big come the end of the season – any points are vital at this stage of the campaign.

“Given our recent run it feels good to come here and give a reaction, and the clean sheet is testament to the effort of everyone today."

On the Dendoncker save Ryan added: “I can only make the saves that the defence allow me to – when they're giving their all to throw themselves at everything, it means the opposition have to work extra hard for those opportunities," he continued.

“I was able to get out to the chance and make myself big, but the fact I was able to do that is tribute to everyone in front of him.

“It's a fantastic effort to deny them this afternoon, and I'm just glad to help the team."
