Brighton fullback Tariq Lamptey was delighted to be part of their 1-0 win at Norwich City.
The teenage defender, making only his third Premier League start, impressed again as Albion did the double over the Canaries thanks to Leandro Trossard's first-half finish. Once again Lamptey made a real mark with his lung-bursting runs forward, as well as his defensive discipline.
He said, “It's hard to sum up those emotions at the end – it's what you play football for. It's a great win for the boys, we dug deep.
“We have been working hard in training and listened to what the gaffer had to say. It wasn't pretty at times but we dug in and got the three points which is the most important thing.
“I think there's always going to be chances in a game and credit to Norwich for hitting the post late on, they're a good team and we perhaps got away with it at the end there!
“Coming into the game, we didn't really talk about the importance of the three points. It was just another game to play our best and get three points. I'm glad we did."
