Brighton fullback Martin Montoya is hoping for a Spain recall.
Montoya has adapted well to the rough 'n tumble of the Premier League which is claims is “quick, but not as quick as I thought it would be".
While the recent Spain call-up for Jonny at Wolves gives Montoya hope he can one day rejoin some of his old Barcelona pals in the national squad.
The former Betis loanee told The Sun: “Jonny's done incredibly well. It's good to see.
“I've definitely got hope that one day if things work out here and I continue to play well for Brighton that I can reach the national team.
“Wolves is a not a United or a Chelsea, However in Spain and in this case Luis Enrique, they have all the details of when we played at Under-17s, Under-19s and Under-21s.
“The Spain national team knows the players and it doesn't necessarily have to be that you play for a Man Utd or a Liverpool."
