Brighton demands for Bissouma diverts Liverpool attention to Inter Milan star Barella

Liverpool have been blown away by Brighton's demands for Yves Bissouma.

Both the Reds and Arsenal have scouted the Mali midfielder this season.

Albion owner Tony Bloom conceded this week that the club were prepared to lose some of their players to bigger clubs.

Jurgen Klopp was hoping Bissouma could be brought in to replace Gini Wijnaldum, who is set to join Barcelona on a free transfer.

However, the Express says Liverpool have shirked at Brighton's £50m asking price.

The report claims Liverpool will now turn their attention to Inter Milan midfielder Nicola Barella.

Inter have already lost manager Antonio Conte as they look to shrink their wage bill due to the financial impact of the pandemic.

Players are expected to join the exodus, and Liverpool hope they can nab Barella at a bargain price.

The Merseyside outfit has already spent £36m on central defender Ibrahima Konata, who will join from RB Leipzig on July 1.
