Brighton defender Lewis Dunk: We go to Man Utd with no fear

Brighton defender Lewis Dunk says they go to Manchester United with no fear.

Now on a club Premier League record of seven games unbeaten, which was extended with a 2-0 win over Watford on Saturday, the 30-year-old sees no reason why Albion can't add to that run against Manchester United.

Dunk, who made his 350th appearance for the club at Vicarage Road, said, “We're ready for anyone and if we perform as well as we know we can, we can beat anyone.

“We've got to go there with confidence, we're going into it off the back of a win and we know we can execute the gameplans that the gaffer wants.

“You never know what the result will be, but we go to Old Trafford wanting a positive result."

Dunk was impressed with the way in which his team dealt with a Watford side who are battling it out at the bottom of the table.

“We couldn't have asked for more really. In the first half we dominated possession of the ball, controlled the game and created chances. We knew they were going to react and the first 15 minutes of the second half was tough, but we showed our desire to keep the lead.

“We defended well and then got to grips with it again and regained control. To come away with a clean sheet and three points, was lovely.

“We stopped their counter-attacks and Neal Maupay tracking back in the 89th minute and making a tackle on the edge of the box sums up how good a team unit we are."
