Brighton defender Lewis Dunk pleased with fighting point

Brighton defender Lewis Dunk was delighted with their fight-back after drawing 1-1 with Watford.

A superb first-half goal from Abdoulaye Doucoure put the Hornets in the driving seat and in a position to move out of the bottom three, but they were forced to settle for a point after Adrian Mariappa put through his own net.

Dunk said, “We're disappointed with the first half. I don't think there was much in it, but we conceded on the break again. But we showed good fight in the second half and I was proud of the team's reaction.

“We have been behind in our last two games and fought back in both so that's a positive for us. We have got to keep going and working hard."

Dunk admitted that Albion need to turn pressure and possession into more goals but insists keeping goals out at the other end is just as important.

“We can take the positives from today into the break and there were some. We will work on a few things [during the break], get together and then prepare for the final push of the season."
