Brighton defender Dunk: I've based my game on John Terry

Brighton defender Lewis Dunk says that he modeled his game after John Terry.

Dunk is now 26 and seen as one of the most impressive defenders in the Premier League.

He recently received a call up to the England side after James Tarkowski pulled out. And Dunk admits that his all action style is very similar to Terry's for a reason.

Dunk said to The Argus: "That's why I was a Chelsea fan – because of him.

"When I was young I used to see him throwing his body on the line and not care about getting hurt and I just moulded myself into that type of player to the best I could.

"I still play the same way now – if I need to throw my body there, I still throw it now.

"He was a great role model to look up to.

"That was way I pictured myself playing and the way I play now."
