Brighton cut loose seven youngsters

Brighton have cut loose seven youngsters.

Ben Barclay, Owen Moore, Joe Tomlinson, Josh Kerr, Ben Hall, Stefan Ljubicic and Billy Collings have not been offered new deals.

Brighton U23 coach Simon Rusk said: "These are always tough decisions to make - we thank all of those leaving us for their contributions to the club and wish them all the best for the future.

"We will keep in contact with them over the coming years and hopefully they now move on to a new stage of their career."

Five other players have been retained. Full-back Alex Cochrane and goalkeeper Tom McGill have been given new two-year contracts with the option of an extra year.

Winger Ryan Longman has been given a one-year professional contract with the option of an extra year, while Archie Davies and Jordan Davies have triggered extensions to their deals.
