Brighton are close to signing Portsmouth defender Matt Clarke.

The 22-year-old was an influential presence in the Portsmouth defence during the 2018/19 campaign and helped them win the Football League Trophy.

Sky Sports says the two clubs are in talks over a potential deal.

Clarke would become Graham Potter's first signing for Albion.
